After the war he had his own produce store in South Pasadena 2 CONC , LA, CA, call Our Market. After selling the store he then worked as a retail produce cler 2 CONC k until retirement. 2 CONT 2 CONT !HEALTH: Was in good health most of his life. About 1959 started to drink alcohol more heav 2 CONC ily. As a result he eventually had heart and lung problems for the last ten years of his life 2 CONC . He was rushed to the hospital in 1983 because of these problems and was given a 10% possib 2 CONC lity of recovery. After a month in the hospital, and suffering from DTs he returned home. H 2 CONC e required oxygen whenever he slept. One month prior to his death John fell as he was goin 2 CONC g down for his afternoon nap, was unable to get up, nor could he reach his oxygen supply. H 2 CONC e was not found until his part-time housekeeper, , found him the following morning 2 CONC . She made contact with grandson, Jim Konoske, who was able to accompany John in the ambulan 2 CONC ce to Arcadia Methodist Hospital. After about five days in the hospital, because of John's d 2 CONC eteriorated physical condition and need for assistance he was moved to the nursing facility w 2 CONC here his wife Evelyn had been living for the past year. 2 CONT 2 CONT !DIED: Sierra Madre Skilled Nursing Facility, 225 E. Hous 2 CONC e was built by a well known builder by the name of Frank Zeche [Zechie]. 2 CONT Oct. 11, 1991 during a personal visit of Gerald "Jerry" and Rosemarie Konoske with Mrs.Anna H 2 CONC aile in Chattaroy Washington the following information was learned. Mrs. Haile lived one-qua 2 CONC rter of a mile up the road from John's daughter, Anna Blecha White, her husband Frank White 2 CONC , and their son, John. The two Anna's were the best of friends. John Blecha came to Chattar 2 CONC oy some time after his wife Anna Klinka died. He lived with the White family until his deat 2 CONC h in Chattaroy. Anna Blecha White and her son took John Blecha back to Loyal, Wisconsin by t 2 CONC rain for burial.The house built by Jan in Greenwood, WI is still standing. Visited by Jerr 2 CONC y and Rosemarie Konoske in June, 1995, the present owners, John and Sueallyn Marz allowed the 2 CONC m to tour the house and property.
